Ingredients


White or brown bread, 2 slices


Salted or unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons


Cheese slices, 2


Procedure


Apply butter to one side of both the bread slices. Then place the cheese slices on top of one of the bread slices. Then place the other bread slice on top of the cheese in such a way that the buttered side of the bread is facing the cheese. Now, preheat the pan on medium heat for a while and then add the remaining of the butter to it. Once the butter is melted, place the sandwich on it and flip its side after 2 to 3 minutes. You will see that the flipped side has now turned golden brown in color. Now, heat the other side for just about a minute and remove the sandwich from the pan with help of a spatula.


Now cut the sandwich in two equal pieces with the help of a large kitchen knife. Serve this sandwich with tomato sauce, fresh vegetables or any other add on that you like. Once you learn the basic way of making grilled cheese sandwiches (which is grilling the bread) then you can try some really interesting variations with your plain grilled cheese sandwich.
