Grilled Tilapia Fish Recipe with Mango Salsa
Ingredients
Tilapia fillets, 2
Ripe mango, peeled, diced and pitted, 1
Minced reed onion, 2 tablespoons
Minced garlic, 1 clove
Extra virgin olive oil, ⅓ cup
Minced fresh parsley, 1 tablespoon
Lemon Juice, 2 tablespoon
Lime juice, 2 tablespoons
Dried basil, 1 teaspoon
Ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon
Diced red bell pepper, Ѕ
Seeded and minced jalapeсo pepper, 1
Chopped fresh cilantro, 1 tablespoon
Salt, to taste
Directions
Take a large salad bowl and add minced garlic, ground black pepper and Ѕ teaspoons salt in it. Add the tilapia fillets in it and coat them well. Put the fillets and the remaining of the garlic mixture in a plastic bag and seal it well. Now, place this bag in the refrigerator for about an hour. To prepare mango salsa, take a bowl and combine mango, red onion, red bell pepper, jalapeсo pepper and cilantro. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice and lime juice in it and toss it well. Now, add salt and pepper to taste and refrigerate this salsa till the time you want to serve your grilled tilapia.
Now, lightly oil the grates with a brush and preheat your outdoor grill on medium to high heat. Now, take out the marinated fillets and shake off all the excessive marinade before putting them on the grill. Grill them until their centers loose the original translucency. It will take approximately 3 to 4 minutes per side. Now, take a serving dish and serve these grilled tilapia fillets with mango salsa atop! Never turn the fish for too many times. As the meat of tilapia fish is delicate, it tends to break with excessive turning.
Grilled Tilapia Fish Tacos with Cream
Ingredients
Tilapia fish, 2lbs, 1 inch stripes
Shredded red cabbage, 1 Ѕ cups
Chopped tomatoes, 2 large
Mayonnaise, ј cup
Mexican cream ј cup
Lime wedges
Corn tortillas, 12
Salt and pepper, to taste
Hot sauce or salsa
Directions
At first, lightly oil the grill grates with a bit of olive oil. Now, season the tilapia fillets with pepper and salt and place them over a medium flame. Grill for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until thoroughly cooked. In the mean time, warm a few tortillas with water and place them on the grill. Turn the side and cook them well too. Now, take a bowl and add Mexican cream, mayonnaise and sauce in it. You can also use sour cream instead of the Mexican cream. Mix well and set it aside. Pan Grilled Tilapia Fish with Avocado Salsa
Ingredients
Tilapia fillet
Avocado, Ѕ cut into cubes
Grape tomatoes, 6-8, sliced in half
Extra virgin olive oil
Lemon juice, Ѕ lemon
Red onion, ј, finely chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Directions
In a plate, marinade the fish fillet with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Now, brush the grill pan with oil and place the fillets on a preheated grilling pan, over a medium heat. It won't take more than 2 minutes to grill each side of the fillets. Till the fillets get grilled, take a small bowl and combine, tomato, onion, avocado, a little bit of olive oil, salt and freshly ground pepper and mix them well. Once done, make it a point to serve the fillets immediately with this avocado salsa on top! Always pay close attention while grilling tilapia, because it can get burned quite easily.
